Graduation project, 'Bufferzone'.
Location: Academie Minerva, 2014
For the graduation show in 2014, I made a physical intervention in the central hall in the Minerva building. This was a continuation of my research into the visibility and perception of architectural interventions. By claiming a significant area in the exhibition space, and substituting it with a blank wall, the work touched on topics ranging from institutional critique, architecture, the relation to the public and so on.
Despite the size of the wall, it was left unnoticed by the majority of the visitors.
This work was awarded the 'Klaas Dijkstra Kunstprijs'.
