During the residency in 'Kunst in Kolderveen' I've explored various ways of sparking creative impulses. For 6 weeks I've spend most of the time by myself in the former dairy factory in Kolderveen, inside the big empty halls or in the cozy apartment of the AiR. I wanted to take a simple, repetative action as a startingpoint, that would help me to reflect on things and possibly bring up new ideas. This, amongst others, resulted in making plaster sticks, homemade 'stoepkrijt', with which I then colored the entire floor in the Kaashal. Upon finishing, the first piece was then removed by blending it alltogether with a broom, and vacuumed into a brown, paper bag.
